I’m Valerie, founder and owner of Artifex Medical Aesthetics. I was born and raised in the Northern Virginia area and have been practicing medicine as a certified Physician Associate for 20 years.
Artifex Medical Aesthetics was created to offer a different kind of experience — one that feels comfortable, thoughtful, and never rushed.
Aesthetics can feel overwhelming. There are so many treatments, opinions, and trends that it’s hard to know what’s actually right for you. That’s why every visit starts with a conversation. Before any treatment is recommended, we talk through your concerns and what you’re hoping to see when you look in the mirror.
My specialty is facial balancing and rejuvenation using a multi-layered approach, rooted in education and honest guidance. Instead of focusing on one line, one area, or one treatment, we look at the face as a whole — structure, volume, movement, skin quality, symmetry, and how everything works together. The goal is simple: refreshed, balanced, and still unmistakably you.
